Faculty Fellowships

Bravura Nova Scotia also provides support to performing arts teachers through our Professional Development Fellowship Program.  The program’s goal is to inspire Faculty members to remain actively engaged with their own artistic and pedagogical development, more specifically to assist them in honing their skills as performers and teachers.

Among the activities for which support may be granted are:

  1. participation either in person or electronically at a conference, master class, or workshop focusing on upgrading a specific skill or set of skills; and,

  2. training that will enable the Faculty member to upgrade her or his formal qualifications or certification as a performer or teacher.

 

We currently offer these Fellowships through the generosity of Donors.

  • The Edie Hancock Fellowship – in memory of Pat Wyman

    $500 Professional Development Fellowship for an MCPA dance or music teacher in memory of long-time faculty member Pat Wyman.

  • The Elizabeth “Bee” Huxtable Fellowship

    $500 Professional Development Fellowship for a dance or music teacher at any of our partner organizations.

  • The Ken and Gloria Mader Fellowship

    $250 Professional Development Fellowship for a music teacher at any of our partner organizations.
